Claymore Watts was a Merchant’s son in Barbados living a life of luxury in the hopes of inheriting his father’s business. Pirate was a four letter word. He was youthful, in love, a rich snob of an outgoing handsome aristocrat. Elena, his love, kept his world spinning.
They courted and eventually married. He inherited his fathers business and it grew, he became the owner of the largest boat in the Caribbean at the ripe age of twenty. He owned a house, had a beautiful newly pregnant wife, a fleet of seventy ships and close to a hundred slaves. But that all came crashing down…
His assitant Vincent’s carriage was in his drive after he returned early from a trip. He burst in to find his best friend in bed with his wife. He nearly beat Vince to death. His wife screamed at him the entire time that the only reason she did was because he couldn’t father children and she wanted a son so badly.
Clay sent Vincent on the most dangerous voyage he could, stowing away himself on the ship. If the weather didn’t kill them both- he would do the job personally. He was rash, rageful and thirsting for revenge. When their ship got overtaken by pirates and one was about to kill Vincent all Clay could think is he didn’t want the honor stolen. He stabbed him through the heart like Vincent had done him.
This impressed them. They spared his life and he went rouge helping them through the latest security measures and letting them in on all of the top dog’s secret routes and passages. Turns out his determination, brilliant mind and quick hand with a sword were just as effective in piracy as business. Only piracy was more fun. He earned his nickname through never striking a lady and never having a one night stand. As well as constantly bathing and looking presentable. Organized, methodical, and under his tough cold exterior quite kind accompanied with good hygiene make him quite the rare pirate.
Now this rebel without a cause is looking for a new ship and a fresh start. Sure he could stop at any time, but the thing is…he likes being a pirate.
