Nineteen-Fisherman on Tortuga-Lover-Devoted-Smitten

Born on the Virgin Islands, Milo was born to a family of boat workers. Instead of following them, he decided to become a fisherman. His older brother had commandeered a ship, and he had said brother drop him off at Tortuga when he was seventeen. He started fishing there, and started getting some cash. Of course, Tortuga was full of a bunch of liars and cheaters and thieves, but throughout the day, he did get a few people who bought things like an honest man, or woman. Of course, it took him a little while to realize he’d have more to sell, if he had (A) a house and (B) a boat.
So he combined the two.
It took him a while, but he built himself a houseboat, all thanks to that boat family of his. He can’t go out to sea with it, but he can certainly go where it matters with it. The boat works for him, since he can keep his catches there, all the while being able to watch over it at the same time. Someday, he does hope to have his own place, someday. Another thing he wants, though, is the girl of his dreams.
And that girl is Dillon Johanson. Absolutely smitten with her. Milo isn’t quite sure how he got to liking her, but he sure as hell knows he’d go to the ends of the world for her, even though she seems to hate him. All he can hope for is that she has some interest in him, as a person. Sure, he’s not a pirate, or a Navy officer, but he hopes that at least, someday, someone would like him for his being a fisherman. His parents, at first, didn’t approve, but by now probably think he is dead. Not that it matters to him. Contrary to believe, he is actually quite content with his life as a fisherman. Before, he had tried pirating, but after a while, the thrill was gone. With fishing, he could live a simple life, and not have to worry.
Milo, like any boy, cannot seem to sit still. He’s an active kind of guy, and hates having to sit down for long times. That’s why he has nets. Another is, is that when he’s smitten, he’s like a puppy; a very, very, stubborn puppy. A joker, he loves laughter, but sometimes, feels the need to let people know how he really feels. He’ll fight for his friends if they’re getting smack behind their backs, or punch the lights out of a drunk for messing with a barmaid.
In appearance, he’s a looker. Tall, but not too tall at six feet one inches, and the built of a skilled worker. Blue eyes and long black hair that gets in his eyes, he still has that boyish charm. Hands calloused from making nets, and a spear, always on his back, sometimes he looks as though he’s a man who could hurt you. Deep down: he’s a big ole softie.
